About this block

This block builds on the Log Cabin family: a center square framed by one round of strips, with two of the outer pieces pieced from a trapezoid and triangle rather than a single strip. That trapezoid-triangle seam is deceptively fussy to get right, making this a block that rewards a steady, practiced hand more than most basic log cabin units.
