About this block

This block centers on a half-square triangle framed by trapezoids on all sides. It's built as two mirrored halves, each a triangle paired with its surrounding trapezoids, sewn together along the center diagonal to complete the block. The trapezoid framing gives the central triangle more visual weight than a plain half-square triangle unit would carry on its own.
