Mill and Stars

About this block

This block reads as a windmill at the center, flanked by four star points radiating outward. It was first documented in print in the 1897 Ladies Art Company catalog under the name "Four Point." It's built from the same underlying construction as several other named blocks, most notably Arkansas Snowflake, differing mainly in how colors are placed rather than in piecing itself.
