Snowball Corner

About this block

This is the basic unit behind the Snowball block: a square with just one corner "snowballed," meaning a smaller triangle is stitched and flipped over that corner, replacing the sharp point with a diagonal edge. It's a foundational stitch-and-flip technique quilters use constantly as a building block inside larger, more complex designs, not just in Snowball itself but anywhere a design calls for softening or angling off a single corner.
