This block is built from squares and half-square triangles arranged with careful attention to light, medium, and dark placement, functioning as a tile design, meaning it was drafted to mimic an old geometric tiling pattern. When multiple blocks are set together, the light and dark placement creates a secondary circular, donut-like design where four blocks meet. It was published in the magazine Hearth & Home, then again in 1935 in Workbasket under the name "State of Georgia."
