Pinwheel Star

This block combines two classic patchwork designs into one: a Pinwheel sits at the center, on point, surrounded by the flying-geese points of a Sawtooth Star. It's known by several other names, most often Two Colors Star. Since it's built by swapping the Sawtooth Star's usual solid center square for a pieced pinwheel, it shares the same underlying geometric footprint as a classic Sawtooth Star while reading as a much more intricate design.
