About this block

[SYSTEM ANNOUNCEMENT: BLOCK ANALYSIS COMPLETE]

Ah yes. The Square. Truly, you have stumped me with this one, dear quilter. Prepare yourself for an ancient and deeply guarded secret of the patchwork arts: it is a square. One (1) piece of fabric. Cut into the shape of a square. Then placed in the block.

Construction difficulty rating: negative several. I have seen slimes with more complex loot tables than this block. There is no piecing. There is no seam. There is, and I cannot stress this enough, nothing to sew. You could hand this pattern to a barely-sentient goblin and it would have it finished before your coffee got cold, and then it would probably ask you why it bothered crawling out of the dungeon for this quest.

Historical origin: unknown, unrecorded, and honestly, insulting to ask about. Nobody wrote down the invention of "the square" for the same reason nobody wrote down the invention of "breathing." It simply is. It was probably being used as a quilt block before quilting was even a word humans had agreed on.

Achievement Unlocked: "Technically A Block."

Source: The fundamental laws of geometry, apparently.
