Sometimes you have to tear it all down to build it right. I've spent the last three days on a total ground-up rewrite of the Radial Layout system. The previous version simply wasn't good enough, and once I started, there was no turning back.
What's New
Polar Coordinate Engine: I've moved away from standard Cartesian grids for radial designs. Blocks are now calculated and placed using a polar coordinate system, ensuring perfect alignment and symmetry.
Radial-Exclusive Blocks: I'm introducing custom-designed blocks built specifically for this layout. These aren't just tweaked standard blocks; they are engineered for the unique angles of radial design.
Precision Construction: Because of the complex geometry involved, these new radial blocks are designed for template or paper piecing, ensuring your points stay sharp as you move around the center.
It wasn't on the original roadmap for this week, but it was a necessary pivot. The result is a much more robust, mathematically sound way to build circular designs.
