Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CleverQuilts websites, the Design Room, Craft Room, and related services (the "Service") operated by CleverQuilts. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

CleverQuilts provides quilt design tools, including layouts, fabric and color tools, cloud-saved projects (when you have an account), collaborative projects, and optional Pro features such as additional layouts, yardage and cutting tools, and pattern PDF downloads where offered. Features may change as we improve the product.

3. Accounts

You may explore parts of the Service as a guest. Creating an account (for example with Google or an email sign-in link) lets you save work to your account and use account-gated features. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Pro Pass

Pro unlocks additional studio features described on our Account types page. Pro access is purchased as a non-recurring, 30-day pass for $10 (or as otherwise stated at checkout).

Pro passes do not automatically renew. When your paid 30-day period ends, your account will simply revert to the free tier unless you choose to purchase another pass. Fees paid for a Pro pass are non-refundable once the pass period begins, except where required by law.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of designs, fabrics, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant CleverQuilts a limited license to host, process, display, and back up Your Content as needed to operate the Service. You represent that you have the rights needed to use and share Your Content on the Service.

If you publish or share projects publicly (for example in the gallery or collaborative projects), others may see that work according to the sharing settings you choose.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including abusive automated traffic
• Upload malware or content that is illegal, harassing, or clearly harmful
• Resell or misuse the Service in ways that violate these Terms

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service, including software, branding, documentation, and default catalogs we provide, is owned by CleverQuilts or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our IP to you. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Cutting lists, yardage estimates, pattern PDFs, and similar outputs are tools to support your making; you are responsible for verifying measurements and instructions before cutting fabric or publishing patterns. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CleverQuilts and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for Pro in the three months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
