One of the things I fell in love with in the quilting community was collaborations. Block swaps. Group quilts where you sew your square, send it off, and get someone else's back. You are not working alone in your sewing room for months. You are part of something with other people.
So I built tools for that in the studio. Pick a Block is a collaborative quilt: people claim squares, choose blocks, and lock them in while the shared layout stays visible. Soon I will be launching a block swap on Instagram that uses this tool. It will be beginner friendly on purpose.
What matters to me is that swappers can see what their fellow makers are creating, and interact with that work while the project is still in motion. Not only the finished reveal at the end. One step farther into being involved with your peers while you work on a joint project.
That is the kind of quilting I want more of. Shared, a little messy in the best way, and built so the software gets out of the way of the friendship.
