I have written several quilt patterns in the past, but creating a template for over a hundred blocks is a significant undertaking. Adding directions where cutting or piecing may change based on color combinations or size requires complex logic. That logic is progressing and five blocks now have completed assembly instructions.
Quilting and block construction requires a lot of manual care even with automation and code tools. This phase of the site will move slowly for a while. It is a critical piece that I need before opening the beta to a wider audience. In the meantime, here are the latest features and bugs.
Pattern directions got a full v2 upgrade New authored block assembly directions now flow into PDFs with stronger sectioned instructions makers can follow at the cutting table.
Cutting and directions now stay in sync Strip-piecing WOF behavior and direction tokens were unified so prose and measurements match cutting math more reliably.
PDF assembly readability improved Block assembly diagrams now render as clean black and white line drawings for clearer print output.
Cutting directions are easier to scan Fabric sections in cutting directions now sort alphabetically by fabric label (Fabric A, B, C).
Admin tooling expanded A modern Directions Builder UI and storage for block pattern directions were added to support authoring workflows.
Studio flow polish App Studio layout refactors and targeted UI fixes improved stability and focus. This includes better behavior for the layout-aware command bar.
