The distance between an idea and its execution should be as short as possible. Today's updates focus on reducing the "tap count" by letting the software handle the heavy lifting through plain language and better gestures.
The Action Bar: When signed in, the top bar now features a command field. You can type instructions to set quilt dimensions, place blocks in specific rhythms, or shift the temperature of the palette. You can nudge a specific color family, like making greens more vibrant, without affecting the rest of the board. The bar also includes auto suggest for block names, so you no longer need to reference library IDs.
The Second Pass: All accounts utilize a local parser for standard commands. Pro accounts include an expanded secondary read for more complex phrasing, reducing the need for strict syntax and allowing for more natural instructions.
Hold and Swipe Gestures: I added directional sweeps to the standard layout. Press and sweep a cell horizontally to fill a row, vertically to fill a column, or corner to corner for a diagonal walk. Sashing still responds to a long press or right click.
Radial Center Logic: On round layouts, the center is now a dynamic circle. You can enlarge or shrink the center point while the outer rings maintain their width. This allows you to set the core geometry before you begin painting wedges.
Help and Account Polish: The help guide is now tabbed and covers the differences between Basic and Pro logic. If a command fails, a contextual note will specify if a palette is locked or a tab needs to be opened. The account view and cutting notes have also been refined to stay synced with your active on screen layout.
